During the first covid lockdown I created lots of drawings of women in some sort of distress. This will sound odd but I wasn't aware I was doing this. It was not an intention. I just knew I wanted to complete a drawing every day and felt it would be a good discipline for my time to have this project. When I had completed about 30 I looked them over as a group and thought, what do these have in common. It was a surprise in some way to see that they were so about how I was thinking at that time, the limitations had played a role in my imagery.
Cat Weaver, below, is one such piece.
